Mixing contemporary and classic design

I prefer traditional or classic design opposed to contempory. But here is a lovely example of mixing both. I found this picture of a Northern Beaches house from the local Manly Daily. Fabulous shaker style kitchen cupboards and Calcutta marble on the island bench which I absolutely love.

Very neat and tidy - do they have kids!
